Winter & Fall After-School STEM Classes
Dungeons and DragonsPlayers create their own character using the newly updated 2024 rules and join their allies in adventure. Face off against monsters and villains to make the countryside a safer place! Players will engage in team building, problem solving, planning, and communication, all while engaging with a rich detailed fantastical environment. We will be using a combination of physical and digital materials to maximize immersion and excitement. Lego RoboticsChildren learn engineering, mathematics and robotics principles. They are given the opportuntity to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Working in small teams, everyone designs and a builds a robot to solve challenges to overcome obstacles. Game Design with RobloxStudents advance their knowledge of Roblox and take programming to the next level by creating games with more complex systems like a battle royale or RPG. They learn about sound, lighting, special effects and how to implement them in the game. Other things they are taught include optimization, making their game run better, testing procedures, and general best practices. They also cover monetization, how to make money off of their game. |
